Cats & Canines, Inc., was created by me after 4 years of non-stop rescuing cats and dogs from high-kill shelters in the inland empire/San Bernardino area of So Cal. I felt that we needed to be able to rescue and bring to a better zip code to seek adoptions because the abandoned and surrender numbers of animals in San Bernardino is always staggering no matter how many are rescued & the lower economic demographics there means there are a lot of malnourished/neglected pets in need of rehoming too. So, I applied for my 501c3, secured an adoption venue in a solidly middle/upper middle class community to bring rescued animals to who we rescued from shelter and the streets in the I.E. We have weekly adoption events for 5 years running now and wonderful homes we adopt to.
