Meet Pink – The Tiny Survivor with a Big Personality
At 10 years old and just 15 lbs, Pink has already lived through more than most dogs ever should. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, she arrived in our care pregnant, malnourished, and in need of immediate help. Sadly, her puppies did not survive after an emergency C-section, but Pink’s fight to live—and to thrive—has never wavered.
Born with a birth defect called "small eye," and dealing with the toll of years of neglect, Pink needed months of loving care before she was healthy enough to be spayed. Even then, her recovery was slow, and something still didn’t seem quite right. After a few days of unusual behavior, her foster mom witnessed what appeared to be seizure activity. Pink was started on seizure medication, which she now takes twice daily—and the good news is, she’s been seizure-free for over 3 months!
