Dog initially avoided people by retreating to the back of the kennel but has since developed increasing kennel frustration, characterized by persistent barking, pacing, jumping on the kennel door, and alarm barking (FAS 2â3). Outside the kennel, she pulls very hard on leash, seeks out other dogs to fence fight, and displayed concerning behavior toward a male staff member by stiffening, hard staring, alarm barking, and pulling toward him. Volunteer notes also indicate she requires a specific handling procedure to safely return to her kennel.
