Animal Information: Ella is an estimated 2 year old 70 lb spayed female shepherd mix who was adopted as a puppy from the shelter and returned when the family came upon hard times. The shelter is overflowing with large mixed breed dogs, and Ella was at risk for euthanasia due to length of stay. She's a staff favorite and they pushed hard for us to say yes to one more big shepherd mix, because she's such a friendly, outgoing, social and affectionate dog -- but they are just at max capacity. Shelter staff reports Bella is good with other dogs, good on the leash, great with all people, and even rides nicely in the car.
