Cindy Lou is a gentle, affectionate senior cat looking for her final home. After thirteen years in a loving home, her owner had to go into assisted living and couldn’t keep Cindy Lou any longer. Lou Lou, as she’s affectionately known, quickly settled into her foster home and carved a place in her foster volunteer’s heart. Then, she started feeling unwell. A trip to the vet later and we learned that Cindy Lou has cancer in her abdomen. After some work with the vet, we’ve found a combination of food and low-cost medication that keeps her comfortable. Possibly related to her illness, she has on rare occasions defecated just outside the litter box, though she consistently urinates inside it.
