Meet Tommy, a handsome 2-year-old, tri-colored German Shepherd mix who was rescued at the very last minute from a crowded county shelter. Initially described as shy and timid, Tommy simply needs some self-confidence.
Tommy is very smart and eager to please.. While he can be a little unsure at first, he is quickly learning that life can be full of love, kindness, and fun. Each day, he grows braver--wagging his tail more freely, discovering toys, and learning to be confident.
He is dog-friendly and would thrive best in a home with another confident dog who can guide him and show him the ropes. Tommy is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and sleeps soundly through the night. Although the crate is not his favorite place, he settles quietly after a few minutes and is content once he feels safe.
