Meet Amy - a little ray of sunshine with the sweetest heart!
Amy is a petite hound mix, perfectly sized at about 28 lbs, who was born around July 2023. Her story began in a tough place -- growing up outdoors with 17 other dogs and little human love or care. Thankfully, Barkville Dog Rescue came to her rescue and since then, Amy has been learning just how wonderful life can be!
Despite her rough start, Amy has blossomed into a gentle, playful, and delightfully silly girl who's sure to steal your heart. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, her goofy, tail-wagging personality shines through -- and she'll have you smiling every single day.
Amy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another friendly dog to show her the ropes and boost her confidence. She's great with people, kids, and other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys nice strolls around the neighborhood.
