About

Welcome to Rescue City - where every dog deserves a home ! If you are interested in our adoptable dogs, please apply at www.rescuecity.nyc/adopt [one application is kept on file for 6 months for an unlimited number of dogs you may be interested in] If the dog is AVAILABLE on our website, then we are still accepting applications for said dog [there are multiple pages of dogs, in alphabetical order] If the dog is NOT on our website, then we are no longer accepting applications for said dog. To foster with us, please apply at www.rescuecity.nyc/foster To join our Foster-to-Adopt Program, please apply at www.rescuecity.nyc/foster-to-adopt Our mission is to save the lives of dogs in desperate need while spreading public awareness against animal cruelty and overpopulation. Everyday we save vulnerable dogs from neglect, abuse, and euthanasia. We provide temporary safe foster homes and medical/emergency treatment to prepare these loving animals for their forever home. (This means we do not have a physical shelter location, and all of our dogs are in loving foster homes throughout the city.) Following a thorough and detailed but hassle free adoption process, we connect our dogs with loving, responsible, and committed permanent homes. Every dog is fully vetted and altered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated prior to finalization of adoption. Our commitment to our dogs goes beyond the adoption process, as we stress the importance of responsible pet ownership, and we educate our fosters, adopters, and community on what they can do to help dogs in need.
