Meet Richie, a comeback kid with the sweetest soul.
When Richie first arrived, he weighed just 33 pounds and was missing much of his fur due to a painful allergy, resulting in a terrible skin condition. He clearly hadnât had an easy roadâbut you would never guess it by his spirit today.
With proper care, good nutrition, medicated baths, and lots of love, Richie has gained 10 pounds and is feeling so much better. His coat is improving, his body is healing, and most importantlyâhis personality is shining.
Richie has been making friends with other dogs here and loves playtime. Heâs also been working hard on his leash skills, and our volunteers are so proud of how quickly heâs learning. Heâs eager, responsive, and just wants to make his people happy.
And that little frown? Total illusion. Richie is actually one of the happiest pups in the buildingâfull of joy, resilience, and tail wags.
Now all he needs is a home where he can keep thriv...
