⚡ How Express Request Works

Here’s how the feature works, step-by-step:

1. Adopters now have two options when contacting a shelter:

• Send a free message, just like before.

• Send an Express Request — a $15 paid message that signals they’re ready to adopt and want to hear back quickly.

2. Shelters have 3 days to respond.

Once a user sends an Express Request, the shelter has 3 days to reply. If the shelter responds within that window, they automatically earn $5 from that request.

3. No penalty for missed responses.

If a shelter doesn’t get back within 3 days, there’s no issue — Paaw automatically refunds the user’s $15. The goal isn’t pressure, it’s efficiency and fairness for everyone involved.

4. Connecting your Stripe account is easy.

To start receiving Express Request payments, log into your Paaw Shelter Dashboard → go to “Adoption Applications” → follow the prompt to connect your Stripe account.

Just enter your shelter’s details, your preferred banking information, and you’ll be ready to receive funds automatically each time you respond to an Express Request.
