About TN/Pete

Pete is a 4-year-old Brittany neutered male. He is an endearing quirky boy that is kind, gentle and affectionate. Pete was born with cataracts and was completely blind when he came to NBRAN. A diagnosis and treatment plan that included surgery was quickly decided after an NBRAN volunteer took Pete to an appointment with a doggie ophthalmologist. The surgery was successful and Pete regained his sight.

Even though the surgery was successful, Pete can become fixated on light and shadows. Pete's favorite activity is playing fetch and retrieving the ball.

Like lots of Brittanys, Pete has been known to try and occasionally succeed in eating nonfood items. While Pete is outside, if exposed to items like sticks and acorns, he needs to be watched. But most of the time, he is far too busy joyfully retrieving a ball instead of eating things he should not. Like a typical young dog, he will eat items inside he should not.
