Some dogs seem to get all the lucky breaks. Sadly, this sweet boy hasn't been one of them.
He first ended up at animal control and was scheduled for euthanasia when no one came for him. He was eventually adopted, but instead of finding the loving home he deserved, he experienced severe neglect and abuse. Much of his trauma involved being kenneled for long periods, so he is looking for a home where he can finally leave that part of his life behind.
Despite everything he's been through, he has the sweetest heart. He is shy when meeting new people and needs a little time to know he's safe, but once you earn his trust, his personality shines. He'll do happy zoomies, throw his butt in the air for scratches, roll over for belly rubs, and happily spend his day curled up at your feet or even in your lap while you work. He's the kind of dog who simply wants to be near his person.
