Pogo got his name because of the things that make him a little different. Pogo was born with deformed front legs.
He’s are estimated to be around 10 months old and was living on a property in Yakima with more than 30 other dogs. Our rescue partners were in the area for a spay and neuter clinic when the Pogo and his brother Skip were brought in. Without rescue placement, they would have been altered and released simply because there is not enough space in their local shelter.
We knew we could help, so Pogo and Skip are now making their way across the state to Dog Gone Seattle.
Despite never having been inside a home, both boys are able to be handled. They are shy and understandably unsure of the world, but they are incredibly sweet.
They are going to need plenty of patience, TLC and someone willing to give them the time they need to learn what it means to be a dog in a home.
