At 14 years young, this chihuahua mix found himself on a euthanasia list at a rural shelter… but our volunteers knew his story wasn’t over. They saw something special in those wise little eyes and made sure he got his second chance.

Peanut Butter is a classic “two-sides-of-the-coin” kind of gentleman. One moment, he’s a crotchety old man, grumbling his opinions about the world. The next? He’s a soft, sleepy sweetheart, curled up in your lap like he’s been there his whole life. And honestly, that’s part of his charm.
