Papaya

Papaya is an 8 year old female Red Heeler mix, and believe us, she is just as sweet as she looks! With her beautiful white face and those incredibly hopeful “please love me” eyes, this gentle girl has a way of tugging at your heart from the moment you meet her. Papaya is calm, very well-mannered, and an absolute pleasure to walk on leash. She knows Sit and Paw, and she politely greets people, other dogs, and even cats. For the past couple weeks, Papaya has enjoyed staying in a volunteer’s home, and has been an absolute Foster Star! She has been great with his resident dog and cat, and loves spending time curled up on a soft bed or couch to enjoy a quiet evening at home. For a short while, Papaya was adopted into a wonderful home where she was dearly loved; but sadly, she was very frightened by rural neighbors who constantly shot their guns.
