Opal

There is a saying about old souls: "Old souls feel more deeply, suffer more nearly, see more clearly, love more freely and heal more completely." This is Opal in her entirety. She is a middle aged lady who has seen and been through more than any cat ever should. Living on the streets, losing her kitten to sickness, being adopted then returned, dealing with chronic pain, working through PTSD and still looking for someone to love her furever.

With all this hardship, Opal has some wariness when she meets new people, but given some space (and LOTS OF TREATS) she opens up to show her sweet self. Opal adores all kinds of food, but especially kitten food! She loves being brushed and getting all the cheek scratches, and once she has settled in, she loves being carried around like a baby; never wanting to be far from you.
