Meet Onyx! Onyx is one of those dogs who just needs someone to believe in him. This handsome boy is around 1 year old and 45 pounds, with the most gorgeous, shiny black coat. We think he may be a Mountain Cur/Lab mix, but whatever his recipe, we know one thing for sure—he is a very special boy.
Onyx is a shy and unsure guy who is still learning that people can be kind and that life can be good. We suspect a man may have been unkind to him in his past because he warms up and bonds much more quickly with females. He will need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and will give him the space he needs to adjust to his new life. Once Onyx trusts you, though… watch out for the cuddles! He loves putting his head in your lap and soaking up affection.
