Mac was born outside and spent more time with other cats than humans; we call these cats Community Cats. He would do best with a social cat in his new home to show him the ropes. We've been able to make a great deal of progress in socializing him, and here are some things his new family should keep in mind:
When you first bring him home, cats like Mac will spend some time in hiding: for the best transition, we highly recommend confining your new cat to a room where they can learn about their new surroundings but still feel secure. A small space such as a guest room or a home office are good choices.
Slow transition: After living outside, being in a home can be scary to a Community Cat, so remember to be patient while they get used to their new new nest.
For best results...do your homework and be patient! Most cats love food and using stinky wet food and Churu treats is a great way for you to bond with you new...
