Meet Mabel! Mabel is a beautiful 4-year-old tan and white Shih Tzu who is a puppy mill survivor. Since coming into rescue, she has made wonderful progress and is beginning to enjoy the comforts and security of life in a loving home.
Like many mill dogs, Mabel is still gaining confidence every day. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a consistent schedule and is learning to walk on a leash. She enjoys riding in the car and especially loves spending time with her person. Watching her personality continue to blossom has been incredibly rewarding.
Mabel gets along well with other dogs and must have a companion dog of similar size and energy to help her continue building confidence. She also requires a secure, physically fenced yard, as she is still learning that the world is a safe place.
