Meet Lupine!
Lupine was born outside and came to us through our Community Cats program. Because of this, he's had very little human interaction prior to coming here. Because of this, we reccomend a slow transition into your home. Here is what we recommend.
WHAT TO EXPECT
*Hiding: while he is acclimating to his new home, we highly recommend confinement to a cage for a short period of time. This way he can learn about his new surroundings but still feel secure in the crate. This will also eliminate the worry of âlosing themâ in your home â kittens will find anywhere to hide! Don't have a crate? No worries...We can lend you one until you no longer need it.
*Transition: moving to a new environment can be scary, and potential backslide in behavior is to be expected. If they purred here at the shelter, they will purr again in your home but it may take some time. Be patient while they learn the new sounds, and smells of your home.
