Hi! My name is Leo and I am looking for a forever home. I was reported to animal control lying injured in a ditch and they came and got me and took me to the shelter where it was determined I was probably hit by a car and had a broken front leg which was beyond the type of help the shelter could give me. A plea went out to the rescue community and unfortunately no one was able to step forward for me until a small local rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could and they said yes. My first stop before going into foster was to a vet who set my leg; however, after my arrival at my foster home, she noticed that I also appeared to have something wrong with my back end. BCAA then sent me to an orthopedic specialist/surgeon who said I had also suffered an injury to my pelvis but that other than strict rest w/ minimal walking, he was not able to do anything surgically and it would just take some time to heal.
