Layla

Meet Layla, an 11-year-old sweetheart who has been through more change than any senior dog should have to face, yet somehow remains gentle, loving, and completely open to everyone she meets. After her owner passed away, Layla and her two brothers were surrendered to a shelter. Her brothers were adopted, leaving Layla behind until a volunteer met her, fell in love, and made sure she had a safe place to land with Dallas Pets Alive. Layla is truly an easygoing girl. She is potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, loves car rides, and enjoys a leisurely stroll of about a mile before settling in for one of her many naps. She is wonderful with people, has done great with children and dogs of all sizes, and even calmly walks away when another dog is less than friendly. Her previous notes recommend a home without cats. Layla may also be experiencing some hearing loss, but she takes it all in stride. She does not enjoy being crated, though she does wonderfully free roaming or relaxin...
