King Titan is only 1 year old, and he is scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow at 4 PM.
Not because he has a bite history.
Not because he has shown aggression.
Not because anyone has identified a behavioral issue.
He is sick.
King Titan came into the shelter at 73 lbs. He is now down to 62 lbs. What began as an upper respiratory infection has progressed to pneumonia, and he now has additional medical issues that need diagnostics and treatment beyond what the shelter can provide.
He is having difficulty using his back legs, has swelling in multiple joints/limbs, and is showing hind-end weakness and neurological symptoms that need further investigation.
And through all of this?
He is still sweet.
Before he became sick, he was described as very friendly and easy to handle. Even now, feeling absolutely awful and undoubtedly uncomfortable, the veterinary staff documented him as “very sweet” during his exam.
