Ivy

Meet Ivy, a sweet 9-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing just 11 pounds. This petite girl loves nothing more than being held and cuddled, and she enjoys short walks and car rides with her people.

Ivy is house-trained and will go to the door or sometimes bark when she needs to go outside. She has not shown much interest in toys, but she has a charming little habit that is sure to make you smile: Ivy dances when it's mealtime!

Since Ivy was a stray before coming to Pet Haven, she was given plenty of time to decompress in her foster home. She stayed in a den behind a baby gate and was slowly introduced to the other animals. She has done OK meeting dogs, but if another dog gets too pushy, Ivy will let them know with a growl. She would prefer a home without energetic puppies, and any resident dogs will need slow, thoughtful introductions. Her comfort level with cats is unknown.
