Ethel is a survivor.

In October 2024, Ethel and her sister, Lucy, were rescued from the mountains of Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene devastated the area. Cold, frightened, and unsure of the world around her, Ethel arrived at Piedmont Animal Rescue completely shut down.

Lucy has already found her forever family.

Ethel is still waiting.

Over the past 638+ days, Ethel has blossomed into an incredible companion thanks to the patience of her foster family and the amazing team at Elevation K9 Training. Every day she grows a little braver, a little more confident, and a little more trusting.

Today, Ethel is discovering just how wonderful life can be.
