Elvira

Meet Elvira! This sweet 4-year-old mixed breed weighs 21 pounds and may have a little Feist in her mix. And that adorable little stub tail? It’s always wagging when she sees someone she’s starting to trust!

Elvira came into foster very timid and is still learning that the world isn’t so scary. Right now, she feels safest in her crate and prefers to spend much of her time there, but she’s slowly coming out of her shell. She can still get nervous in new situations and may have a little submissive tinkle when she’s scared, but she’s making progress as her confidence grows.

Elvira does very well with other dogs and really appreciates having canine friends to show her the ropes. Because of this, she’ll need another confident, friendly dog in her adoptive home to help her continue building confidence and learning how to be a happy, secure pup.

She’s doing well with her house training, and her foster is keeping a close...
