DUKE

Meet Duke, the 4 month old pittie mix. Duke was recently adopted from the Shelter but came back after a family member experienced an unexpected surgery that will make caring for a puppy particularly difficult. Duke lived with two cats in his mot recent home. He was a bit playful with them. A home with dog-savvy cats may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Typical to puppies his age, Duke is still perfecting life skills and manners like potty training, age appropriate socialization and leash walking. Adopters will need to ensure that they have the time, patience and resources to meet Duke’s day to day needs. Bonding with Duke through positive reinforcement based training will be a way for Duke to learn these new skills as well as his new family. A home with a dog may be a fit after a meet ‘n greet at the Shelter. Duke is looking for a guardian who is active and able to meet the needs of a pup who has lots of energy!
