The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat if a kitten is too much energy for you! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
