CORAL

Coral is a shy, soft-hearted cat who has been learning how to trust the world again. Surrendered to the shelter in the summer of 2025, she joined the Fraidy Cat/Feline Right at Home program, where very frightened cats get the time and space they need to feel safe.

Since moving into foster care that September, she’s made steady, heartwarming progress—graduating from hiding under the bed to exploring rooms, watching the world from windows, playing with toys, and even brushing lightly against her foster humans when she’s feeling brave.She isn’t ready for pets yet, but she will gently take treats from your fingers if you move slowly and kindly. Coral is curious about other cats and lived with a sister, though she’s easily overwhelmed by very active or assertive companions. A calm feline friend could be a comfort; dogs, however, are too stressful for her.
