Meet Clyde!
Clyde is a 9-month-old Shepherd mix, about 32 pounds, and quite possibly one of the funniest puppies you’ll meet — you just have to give him a little time to let you in on the joke.
When Clyde first meets someone new, he can be shy. He isn’t reactive or upset by strangers; his preferred strategy is basically to pretend you don’t exist. New adults and teenagers come into his foster home without any issue at all. Clyde may simply go about his business while he decides what he thinks of you.
And then, seemingly out of nowhere… BAM. You’ve been accepted. Suddenly Clyde is giving kisses, bringing out his toys and revealing the goofy little class clown who was hiding underneath.
Because Clyde is still a puppy, we don’t necessarily see his initial shyness as a lifelong personality trait. With continued positive experiences, basic socialization and a family willing to let him build confidence at his own ...
