Forever home wanted, meet Cloud! Cloud and her four sisters; Dew, Rain, Lightning and Misty entered the shelter with their mother as owner surrenders, by an unhoused individual. We are unclear what the circumstances were that the owner came back to reclaim the mother and left the 5 six-week-old puppies in the shelter.

Underage puppies cannot stay healthy in an overcrowded shelter, so when we heard about them, we reached out to get their status. The veterinary staff at the shelter would not spay them prior to 8 weeks of age so in the best interest of the puppies, they agreed to release them to rescue! Well, we wasted no time in trying to find fosters and we were in luck! Two families stepped forward and took the girls in.

They entered the shelter on August 3rd, brought in with their mother and surrendered to the shelter. The shelter kept them with their mother until they turned 7 weeks of age. The puppies are all very healthy and adjusting well in their foster homes...
