About Candy
Meet Candy – A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love
Beautiful Candy is a stunning 4-year-old Maine Coon mix who has already overcome more than most cats ever should. Originally from Kuwait, Candy was rescued from the streets after she was found struggling desperately to breathe. Her rescuers feared she might not survive.
Candy was rushed to the veterinarian, where she spent an extended time in an oxygen cage. The vets discovered a large amount of fluid in her chest and, after testing, diagnosed her with chylothorax, a rare and challenging condition.
Candy underwent surgery and, thankfully, made an incredible recovery! Today, she is doing well and is ready to leave her temporary home behind and find the loving family she's been waiting for.
Because of her medical history, Candy does need a special low-fat diet, such as Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat or another veterinarian-approved equivalent. Her family will need to continue this diet ...
