Barbie is a tender-hearted, deeply loving girl who forms strong, meaningful bonds once she feels safe. When she trusts you, she will love you with her whole heart. Like many sensitive dogs, she needs time, patience, and a calm environment to fully come out of her shell—but she is so worth the wait.

Barbie hasn’t had the easiest start in life and appears to have spent much of it outdoors. She came into rescue after needing surgery due to complications while giving birth to her puppies. Despite everything she’s been through, her capacity for love is truly special.

Because of her past, Barbie does experience separation anxiety. She will do best in a home where someone is around most of the time—such as a work-from-home household or one with a flexible schedule.
