PAC would like to officially introduce you to Amber and Ashley â two sweet girls who recently went from being out of time to getting the second chance they deserved.
Amber, a 20-lb Beagle, and Ashley, a 34-lb Hound mix, were dumped together and found themselves on the euthanasia list at a rural animal control facility in Illinois. Thankfully, they made their way to PAC, and we're so happy they're here!
We want to be very clear: please do not bash the shelter or its staff. The staff there are amazing and doing the best they can within the restrictions placed on them. Their higher-ups do not allow adoptions through their organization, so they rely heavily on rescue partners to help save animals.
We're still learning whether Amber and Ashley are sisters or if their relationship is more like mother and daughter. What we DO know is that they have a special bond. Ashley, who is the taller of the t...
