Meet April!

Lovely April is such a gorgeous dog! She was found wandering along a freeway in rural WA. Despite best efforts, no owner was able to be traced. April was in poor condition and very emaciated and scared. She had likely been wandering for some time. She is around 1.5 years old and around 50 lbs.

April is settling into her foster home very well. It was clear when she arrived that she did not know anything about anything. Her foster family is wonderful and worked with her gently to introduce her to the home, the sounds, to a leash, to walks and finally some great adventures on the beach and in their boat. April is timid and a little unsure of herself and she finds great comfort in the other dog in her foster home. She follows him around and takes his cues and that helps her to be braver. April still has more to learn and more confidence to gain but she is doing very well. Her journey will continue in a forever home. We would like to see her in a home with an...
