Sometimes, rescue leaves us scratching our heads.
Last November, we received a call about a rural shelter in Georgia—a shelter where euthanasia day comes every Friday.
On that particular Friday, Bertha and her puppies were on the list.
There was no more time.
We made the decision to save them all.
That day, we pulled Bertha, her puppies, and 25 other dogs from that shelter.
Since then, every single one of those dogs has found a home.
Every puppy.
Every dog.
Except Bertha.
And honestly? We can't figure out why.
